What happened
A Turner crew was tasked with removing an 18 inch end blind and lowering it to grade so that a spool piece could be installed The end blind was removed successfully and lowered to the ground in a vertical position The injured employee removed the rigging and attempted to roll the blind to a pallet approximately 25 ft away in an effort to reduce clutter in the cramped work location The employee rolled the end blind roughly 20 ft before it struck a piece of gravel causing the employee to lose control which resulted in the blind falling over and striking the employee on top of his left foot The employee was taken off site for evaluation and diagnosed with a fracture to the first metatarsal bone
