Employee was using a 60 pound jackhammer to remove concrete from a 6 foot by 6 foot by 3 1 2 foot deep hole in preparation to set a form and rebar The injured employee released the trigger and began to reposition himself to get a better angle During this process the jack hammer bit slipped from the hole it had created and came down catching the right ring finger tip between the handle and the top edge of the existing area paving
