Before the incident

A maintenance team member was milling a piece of steel on the bullpen milling machine He reached across the machine to adjust the dial indicator he had placed to help measure his cuts When he did so he felt his left sleeve getting tighter and realized the bit had caught him and was pulling him in He was able to reach up and across with his right hand to stop the machine and put it in reverse to free himself Before he was able to stop the machine he received a laceration on the left forearm Team member was taken for further evaluation where he received stitches He was released and able to return to work with instructions to keep wound clean and dry
