What happened

At approximately [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] was found at the first aid station with a severe cut to his finger. The incident occurred earlier around [REDACTED] while the he was working near a pallet wrapping machine. After placing a pallet on the wrapper he left the area to continue loading an outbound trailer. Upon returning he observed that the pallet was still being wrapped at the top of the product on the pallet this area being wrapped prevented the shipping label from being scanned for routing. To correct the issue [REDACTED] attempted to cut the shrink wrap manually using a safety knife. While holding the wrap with his left hand and cutting with his right he accidentally cut the tip of his left middle finger resulting in significant bleeding. First aid was administered on site [REDACTED] went to the emergency room for further evaluation and treatment. He was treated at the ER for a laceration without foreign body of left middle finger without damage to nail.
