Handling Material

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] in the Inbound Department Team Member [REDACTED] was assisting with the breakdown of pallets. While removing the top layer of cases from a pallet to build a new pallet she lifted a box weighing approximately 10 lbs. and reported feeling a “pop” in her right hand. Following the incident swelling was observed in the lower palm area of her right hand. First Aid was administered immediately. [REDACTED] declined contacting [REDACTED] at that time and elected to self-care overnight. On [REDACTED] upon reporting to work [REDACTED] stated that her thumb pain persisted. [REDACTED] was contacted and referred her to a medical clinic for evaluation. She was diagnosed with a sprain of the right thumb.
