Handling cases of wine for employee give-away.

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] an employee working as a Production Assistant II reported an injury to their back due to lifting cases of wine. The employee was working at Bottling Line 1 when the incident occurred. The employee stated they were lifting cases of wine for the wine give-away when they began feeling pain in their back. The employee stated that the environment they were working in was normal dry moderately temperate and clean. The employee is qualified to perform the operation and has been trained in the process which is not new. The emplo0yee wasn 't using any tools for this process. During the investigation it was discovered that the employee was not using proper lifting techniques to lift the cases of wine which could have led to the pain in their back. The employee was not following the appropriate safety procedures by lifting improperly. The employee was wearing the appropriate PPE but was not performing their job as trained.
