What happened

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] a Wayfair associate working in Bulk Putaway reported pain level 5 in the back of their right thumb due to pushing an item into the racking. The associate was working at [REDACTED] and stated they were performing putaway in [REDACTED] with multiple Belsford Linen Upholstered Back Arm Chair and Dining Chair Upholstery Color: Charcoal Leg Color: Brown weighing 49.28 lb. dimensions 29.5’’ H x 24.5’’ W x 22.5’’ D. The associate tested the weight of the item lifted it in their power zone and placed it into the racking. While pushing the item further into the racking to prevent overhang the associate’s right thumb slightly popped causing discomfort. Disregarding the injury the associate continued putaway. Approximately one hour after lunch the associate experienced additional discomfort while moving the throttle of the OP and decided to report the injury to the supervisor.
