At roughly [REDACTED] EE was walking through their trailer when they stepped on a piece of wood with nails exposed. According to EE it was very dark inside the trailer and the EE did not see the wood on the ground. Due to the darkness and exposed nails EE stepped onto the piece of wood with their right foot with the nail slightly pinching the bottom of their foot. While their right foot was still in place EE proceeded to step forward with their left foot. EE stepped forward with their left foot and stepped onto the wood once again. With their left foot EE states the nail slightly punctured the EE 's foot. EE felt discomfort but continued route. Safety manager met with EE in field to help finish route no change in employee 's behavior after injury. EE wanted a tetanus shot as a precaution was given pain medication and prescription ointment for treatment.
