On [REDACTED] an employee reported feeling pain in the left heel while operating a stock picker for case putaway. The employee stated their pain initially began on [REDACTED] after they began wearing running shoes to work. Employee stated that they feel the pressure used to operate the "deadman" pedal contributed to their pain and that they believe they were standing unevenly. Employee stated the pain was so severe they has "trouble getting out of bed" and also had to leave the shift early. However based on the investigation the employee was observed limping by Leadership on [REDACTED] and when asked the employee stated their shoes were old and worn out. At no time did the employee state their pain was work-related. No issues with the deadman pedal have been identified on any of the stock pickers.
