What happened

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] a Wayfair associate working within the warehouse was involved in an incident resulting in a cut of his lower right leg. Associate was replacing a blade on a Scraper and upon completion of installing the new blade improper handling resulted in the exposed blade scraping across the associate’s lower leg creating a deep gash which immediately began bleeding. During the investigation the site found that the associate was hired on [REDACTED]. The Associate is currently up-to-date on all respective department training. The associate was working in a process path that requires job rotation and the investigation determined the job rotation WAS being followed. The investigation identified the associate was found to not be following Wayfair safety policy procedure. The associate was not currently working mandatory overtime.
