Before the incident
An hour into their shift a production tech working in the bagel boxing area was using a hand-held tape dispenser to close a box of product. While holding the box closed with one hand and sealing it with the tape dispenser in the other they dragged the sharp cutting edge of the tape dispenser across their left ring finger cutting the skin on the top of the finger. The team member has been with the company for less than a year and was not wearing material-handling gloves at the time of the incident.
