What happened
On [REDACTED] the employee EE was working in [REDACTED] in a lift and was using a knife to cut zip ties in a downward motion with his right hand applying force during the process and holding the seismic with his left. As a result the knife slipped and caused a laceration to the employee 's thumb. EE was wearing Cut level 4 gloves at the time. He stopped the operation to report the incident and he was treated with on-site first aid treatment only. The employee will follow up with the medical team on [REDACTED] and as needed. Updated to recordable injury on [REDACTED] due to an infection in the thumb and the employee receiving prescription anitibiotics
