EE was entering back into soaker area EE went to unlatch in order to bring gate back down had right hand on gate the other was used to take off the latch The gate feel down onto EE

Lift gate on 2 0 B side was latched in the up position IW was on the South side of the lift gate IW went to unlatch it and lower the gate down The gate came down striking them on the left side of the face and ear knocking off their hearing protection ear muffs and knocking them to the ground They were trying to hold it with their left arm when the gate came down IW had cuts to their left ear Triage nurse line was called it was recommended to seek additional treatment EE is within their first year of employment
