Employee was gathering post consumer bulk foam and placing it on the utility cart.

Employee was in the process of placing foam material from the recycle bin to the bed of the maintenance utility cart. Employee began to position the battery charger to secure the foam material so it does not become airborne while traveling. With the left hand holding the handle of the battery charger the employee went to grab the bottom part of the charger when the hand slid across the bed and a large splinter entered the right index finger.
