Reaching for retaining plates

On [REDACTED] at approx. [REDACTED] EE was working in case assembly performing normal duties. EE set a case on the plating fixture and continued the next step of grabbing plates from the designated location at the work station. As EE reached for the plate they felt a pain in the low back and was unable to stand upright without discomfort. EE reported injury to lead and was going to continue working but the muscle began to spasm. Lead and EE activated Nurse Triage Line at approx. [REDACTED]. EE described symptoms to nurse and the result was to seek care at the local partnered health facility. EE was seen by a physician and received prescription strength ibuprofen muscle relaxer and steroid. EE was cleared to return to work with no restrictions but was instructed to call clinic for follow up prior to next shift ([REDACTED]).
