What happened
[REDACTED] clocked in on [REDACTED]) at [REDACTED] to process rework for the whole shift. [REDACTED] was part of a 5-man rework crew for the day. [REDACTED] was ripping open case packs pouring product in rework tank and taking trash bags of fiber to dumpster. Towards the end of shift [REDACTED] experienced discomfit in left thumb. Discomfort progressed on day off ([REDACTED]) and more so when returning to work on the [REDACTED]. They notified manager of hand on the [REDACTED] once prominent swelling was noticeable on forearm. They are unsure how that injury came since they can only remember sharp pain in thumb towards the end of shift. [REDACTED] cannot identify exactly what moment the injury occurred. They were taken to Occ Med by safety rep. Physician placed working restrictions on left hand and prescribed anti-inflammatory.
