29 CFR 1917.42(a)(2): Loose gear, such as slings, chains, bridles, blocks, and hooks, found upon inspection to be visibly unsafe, were used before being made safe. A 10,000 pound capacity crane was used to unload tuna from a purse seiner at the Starkist Wahrf on September 7, 2011. The cable on the 10,000 pound capacity crane was frayed.
