The designated worker charged with monitoring employee(s) performing roofing work on a low slope roof, partook in activities such as installing roofing material and retrieving material. These actions took his attention away from employee(s) working near the roof's unprotected perimeter.  Employees were exposed to a potential 11 ft. fall to the ground below.
