OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: On or about January 10, 2013, employees were working at a rig site, Rig # 2. The stair landing onto the rig floor was bent up, rising up approximately 2 inches at some points. This created a trip hazard that could cause employees to stumble or fall down the the stairs. The vertical height of the stairs measured approximately 12 feet 6 inches.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(B): Where run through holes in walls, ceilings, or floors; On or about January 10, 2013, employees were working on a rig site, Rig # 2. The lower storage room had an electrical cord running through a hole in the metal wall, which was powering an indoor light from a 120V outlet. The top doghouse had an electrical cord running through a hole in the metal wall which was powering a heater from a 220V outlet. Employees were potentially exposed to electric shock and/or burns.
