OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: On or about February 12, 2013, the landing platform of the left stairway leading up to the rig floor stuck up approximately 1 1/2 inches above the rig floor. Employees exposed to the trip hazards could potentially fall forward and down the stairway's approximately 16-feet or more to the ground.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(B): Flexible cords and/or cables were ran through holes in walls, ceilings, or floors: On or about February 12, 2013, in the electrical building, seven 240/120V nominal electrical cables in use, were passed through holes cutout in the metal wall of the building. Employees were exposed to electrical shock.
