29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. On or about 02/06/2013, at the job site - Employees installing decking and 2 x 4 wood boards from the edge of a low slope roof of a new construction were not protected from a fall hazard, in that, fall protection equipment was not provided, exposing the employees to a 21 feet 9 inches and 11 feet 1 inches fall hazards.
