29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1):  Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries:    Six Rivers National Forest, Orleans Ranger District Station: On June 27, 2013,  and at times prior thereto, portable fire extinguishers throughout the facility were blocked, not properly mounted, and not readily accessible exposing workers to serious fire injuries including smoke inhalation and burns in the event of an emergency.

29 CFR 1910.303(f)(2):  Each service, feeder, and branch circuit, at its disconnecting means or over-current device, was not legibly marked to indicate its purpose, nor located and arranged so the purpose was evident:    Six Rivers National Forest, Orleans Guard Ranger Station: On or about June 27, 2013, and at times prior thereto, each branch circuit on the facility breaker panel was not accurately marked to indicate its purpose or location.  Employees were exposed to electrical and mechanical hazards during emergencies and other situations requiring the shut off of the correct circuits and/or equipment.   Inaccurate labeling of circuit breakers in the electrical cabinet hinder and delay an employees' ability to identify and shut down the appropriate circuit breakers during an electrical or equipment emergency.  Delays in shutting down electrical equipment increase the potential for serious injuries to employees during an emergency.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(2): Each exit was not clearly visible and marked by a sign reading "Exit":   Six Rivers National Forest, Ruth Lake Fire Station and Work Center: On June 28, 2013, and at times prior thereto, doors designated as exits on the facility's evacuation map were not clearly marked with an Exit sign.  Employees were exposed to serious injuries associated with limited safe egress from the facility during fires and other types of emergencies.
