29 CFR 1926.1425(c)(1): The employer did not make sure that the materials being hoisted when employees were hooking, unhooking, or guiding the load were rigged to prevent unintentional displacement: a) On or about 8/26/14 at the Delaware North construction project located at 250 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, New York; employees were unloading structural steel from delivery trailers and placing the steel in the project staging area. An employee walking near/beneath the steel was guiding the load and signaling the crane operator. The employee was struck in the head when the load unexpectedly shifted in the slings. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
