29 CFR 1910.94(a)(5)(v): Operators were not equipped with heavy canvas or leather gloves and aprons or equivalent protection to protect them from the impact of abrasives: a) VIT Newport News Marine Terminal, Facility Shop: On or about 12/09/14, an employee used the Econoline blasting cabinet equipped with gloves that had large holes and tears in both gloves thus exposing employee to possible lacerations. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
