29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    The employer is failing to protect employees from the hazards associated with lacerations, broken bones and potential amputations.  During routine slaughter operations, employees, including, but not limited to, hide pullers are exposed to these potential hazards from the side puller machine.  The machine was equipped with an activation button on each side of the machine.  This allows the machine to be activated with the employees hands in the point of operation.  The most recent instance occurred on April 10, 2016 involved a side puller in the facility located at 1009 W. M St. Hastings, NE
