29 CFR 1915.73(e): Employee(s) working near the unguarded edges of decks of vessels afloat, were not protected by personal flotation devices, meeting the requirements of �� 1915.158(a). (a) Date of Violation: On or about 06-24-2016 and times prior thereto, located at the "South Yard", 307 Campostella Rd.. Norfolk, VA 23523, Pier-side, onboard a floating barge vessel G.L. 64, employee(s) were exposed to fall and drowning hazards overboard without approved flotation devices near unguarded deck edges. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
