29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  Building 1102, near door 11: When servicing forklift batteries outside, the eye wash station for flushing eyes was located on the other side of a door and approximately 35 feet down a hall. In addition pallets along the wall create a potential tripping hazard and access hazard to the eye wash for workers requiring immediate access to the station to flush eyes.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8):   The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work  shift to employees when they were in their work area(s):  Building 1102, near door 11: A safety data sheet (SDS) was not kept in the workplace for the battery acid in the forklift batteries and Spill-X-A acid neutralizer powder. In the event a worker is exposed to battery acid while servicing a forklift battery, the lack of an SDS would prolong the ability of the employer to provide appropriate first aid increasing the potential for injury to the worker.
