29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. On 8/14/2017, employees from Bastin Roofing LLC were working on the roof of a residential building located at Lot 30 Chestnut Ridge Subdivision, Moscow Mills, MO. Employees were engaged in roofing work approximately 10 feet above a lower level. Employees were not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. The employees were observed on the roof of the building without fall protection, exposing themselves to a fall to the ground below. Bastin Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 910116, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/2/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 8930 Harrison Avenue, Saint Louis, MO.
