A specific instance of this continuing violation was most recently observed on or about July 5, 2018 when employees were performing residential roofing activities while working without fall protection at the unprotected edges of a steeply pitched roof, approximately nine to 30 feet above a lower level. The employer's ongoing obligation is to ensure that fall protection equipment and/or methods are in use when employees are exposed to fall hazards.
