If such hazards are present, or likely to be present, the employer shall: On or about July 10, 2019 in the Foundry Department, a hazard assessment was not conducted when performing tasks involving the sow preparation for the reverb furnace exposing employees to splash hazards.

29 CFR 1910.178(o)(1): Only stable or safely arranged loads shall be handled. Caution shall be exercised when handling off-center loads which cannot be centered. On or about July 10, 2019, in the Foundry Department by Reverb Furnace Bay 19, a sow, which was top heavy, was stored on the ledge of the furnace to heat up and accidentally tipped in prior to reaching temperature exposing employees to a molten metal hazard.
