29 CFR 1910.217(b)(7)(iii): Mechanical power presses using part revolution clutches were not provided with a means of selecting off, inch, single stroke, and continuous (when the continuous function was furnished) with the clutch/brake control to select type of operation of the press. Fixing of selection shall be by means capable of supervision by the employer.    a)    On or about 1/22/2020, Collar press P-7 was not equipped with a key switch for the run/inch function which would permit supervision by the employer. For the presses with keys the employer was not requiring the removal of keys that control the selector switches for the press modes during press operation which would permit operation in an unguarded mode.

29 CFR 1910.217(b)(7)(x): Foot operated tripping control(s) used mechanical power press(es) with part revolution clutches were not protected to prevent operation from falling or moving objects, or from unintended operation by accidental stepping onto the foot control.   a)    On or about 1/22/2020, Foot control was not guarded on P-7 Collar press allowing for accidental operation of the press exposing the operator to a life changing hand injury.  b)    On or about 1/22/2020, Foot control was not guarded on PR-013 Denison Multi Press allowing for accidental operation of the press with potential operator injury exposure.
