29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): Workplace labeling. Except as provided in paragraphs (f)(7) and (f)(8) of this section, the employer shall ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace is labeled, tagged or marked with either: (I) The information specified under paragraphs (f)(1)(I) through (v) of this section for labels on shipped containers; or, (ii) Product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemical, and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard program, will provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical: a) On or about January 14, 2020, inhouse spray and squirt bottles containing thinner or lubricant were not labeled with the identify and/or hazards of its contents in the Press Room. b) On or about January 14, 2020, the labels associated with each individual tank of the Darkening Dip Line were damaged and difficult to read. c) On or about January 14, 2020, two 5 gallon pails containing a green liquid (Soap) which is used as part of the Tumbling Process in the Darkening Room were not labeled with the identity and hazards of its contents were observed after the work in the Darkening Room was completed. d) On or about January 14, 2020, squirt bottles of "Dilute" and "#6" were not labeled with the hazards of the contents in the Enameling Area.
