29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):Employees were not provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. On the east side of the construction site, employees engaged in roofing activities use pneumatic nail guns without wearing eye protection were exposed to struck-by hazards and eye injuries. Jesus Acosta Vega was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1261754, citation number 001, item number 001, issued on September 12, 2017, and was affirmed as a final order on October 6, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 3105 Carrington drive, Mansfield, Texas 76063.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). On the east side of the construction site, employees engaged in roofing work without fall protection were exposed to unprotected fall hazards of approximately 13 and 20 feet to the ground below. Jesus Acosta Vega was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1261754, citation number 001, item number 002, issued on September 12, 2017 and was affirmed as a final order on October 6, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 3105 Carrington drive, Mansfield, Texas 76063.
