OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed by a stone slab: On or about 8/10/2021, the employer failed to ensure that an employee was protected when moving and measuring a granite slab which was not adequately secured or braced. This work required the employee to stand in the fall shadow of the granite slab while maneuvering the slab and manually measuring the slab with a tape measure, exposing the employee to being struck and crushed by the unsecured slab.
