29 CFR  1910.132(d)(1)(i):  When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment:  Banquet Summit Kitchen: On and/or before February 8, 2022, employees used corrosive chemicals such as concentrated Greasecutter Plus and Greasestrip Plus degreasers during grill, dishware  and other kitchen equipment cleaning operations.  Employees were not wearing personal protection equipment such as chemical resistant gloves specific for the corrosive chemicals used.  Employees were exposed to dermal burns and severe skin irritation.

29 CFR  1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances, severe cuts or lacerations, severe abrasions, punctures, chemical burns, thermal burns, and harmful temperature extremes.   Banquet Summit Kitchen: On and/or before February 8, 2022,  employees used corrosive chemicals such as concentrated Greasecutter Plus and Greasestrip Plus degreasers on grill, floor, and dishware equipment during cleaning operations.  The employer did not ensure employee(s) wore the personal protective equipment that was appropriate for the task of handling the corrosive chemicals.  Employees were exposed to dermal burns and severe skin irritation.

29 CFR  1910.1200(f)(10): The employer did not ensure that workplace labels or other forms of warnings were prominently displayed on the container or readily available in the work area throughout each work shift:  Auto Shop:  On and/or before February 8, 2022,  employees used unlabeled secondary containers to hold chemicals such as engine coolants used during maintenance and use of equipment. The employer did not ensure containers had prominently displayed labels showing chemical name, associated hazards, and warnings.  The employees were exposed to skin irritations.
