29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Second level, center of the house: Employees were installing a covering over a hole in the center of the house from the second story and were not protected from falling to the lower level. Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Jeida Guam was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1590031, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as final order on 7/25/22, with respect to a workplace located at Punzalan St. in Barrigada Guam.

29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: Second Level of the House: Rebar that protruded from the walking/working surface at the top of the stairway was not guarded. Employees were exposed to impalement hazards. Jeida Guam was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.701(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1590031, citation number 2 item number 1, and was affirmed final order on July 25, 2022 with respect to a workplace located on Punzalan Street in Barrigada, Guam. Jeida Guam was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.701(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1287049, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 26, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at Naval Base Guam, EODMU-5 (Adjacent to Building 2112A SNDL), Santa Rita, Guam, 96915.
