Materials or equipment were placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route:  Receiving area: A flat bed cart reduced the exit route width to 17 inches from the inside and a powered industrial truck blocked the exit door on the outside.  Employees were exposed to fire hazards.

Employees were exposed to chemical burn hazards.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws:  Furniture Warehouse: The outer insulation of the flexible cable on the carboard bailer control box was pulled back exposing the conductors to strain. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards.
