29 CFR  1910.213(c)(1): Circular hand-fed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood, which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:  Located in the Happy Camp carpentry shop, the blade on a table saw on a wheeled stand was not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed the portion of the blade above the table. Employees are exposed to a rotating parts hazard that can lead to injuries such as amputations or severe lacerations.  The USDA - Forest Service was previously cited for violations of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1) which were contained in the following OSHA inspection numbers: 1). Inspection 1605749, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 09/26/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Forni Road, Placerville, CA 95667. 2). Inspection 1605766, citation 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 09/26/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 7887 Highway 50, Pollock Pines, CA 95726. 3). Inspection 1605769, citation 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 09/26/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 26820 Silver Drive, Pioneer, CA 95666.

29 CFR  1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour:  1. Located in the carpentry shop, one oxygen cylinder was stored on a cart next to acetylene. The cart did not have a 5' high fire-resistant barrier. Nearby, there was also a metal container with a "flammable liquid" sticker on it.  2. Also located in the carpentry shop, a second oxygen cylinder was stored on a cart next to acetylene. On the left side, three propane cylinders were stored nearby.   Employees are exposed to a fire hazard.  The USDA - Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1481084, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/21/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 538 Oak Knoll Road, Klamath River, CA 96050.
