29 CFR  1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour:   Located in the warehouse / shop area, oxygen cylinders were stored near acetylene cylinders. Employees are exposed to fire and explosion hazards.  The USDA - Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1481084, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/21/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 538 Oak Knoll Road, Klamath River, CA 96050.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): The required working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less was used for storage:  Located in the Mount Hebron engine office, the required working space in front of the 30 amp 240 volt A.C. safety shutoff switch to the Campbell Hausfeld air compressor pump was being used to store fire hoses, firefighter packs, and blue and white jugs. Employees are exposed to fire hazards and potential struck-by injuries from insufficient access to the shutoff switch.  The USDA - Forest Service has previously been cited for violations of the same standard in the following cases:  1). On 9/12/2018, citation number 1, item number 1 was issued as part of OSHA inspection number 1338203, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/11/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1616 Carlotti Drive, Santa Maria, CA 93454. 2). On 9/12/2018, citation number 1, item number 1 was issued as part of OSHA inspection number 1338266, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/11/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 406 South Mildred Ave, King City, CA 93930.

29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable Fire Extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries:  1). Located in the warehouse/shop area next to the restroom, one portable fire extinguisher was not mounted on the wall and instead was placed on the walking surface.  2). Located in the engine bay, one portable fire extinguisher was blocked by carts and bins and there was not a clear path to access it.   Employees are exposed to tripping and fire hazards.
