29 CFR  1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour:  Located at Fort Jones in the fire tool storage area, an oxygen cylinder in storage was not separated from an acetylene cylinder by the minimum required distance. An oxygen cylinder was stored next to an acetylene cylinder.   Employees are exposed to a fire hazard.  The USDA - Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1481084, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/21/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 538 Oak Knoll Road, Klamath River, CA 96050.

The fire extinguisher was on the floor and did not have any identifiers above it. Employees are exposed to a potential fire hazard.

Located in the sign shop, a portable fire extinguisher was not visually inspected at least monthly.  2. Located in the fuels and fire crew storage area, a portable fire extinguisher had not been inspected on a monthly basis.  The tag had a date of 2019 on it.   Employees are exposed to a fire hazard that can lead to smoke inhalation in the event of a failure.

29 CFR  1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or  were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve:  Located at Fort Jones in the recreation barn, two half-face respirators were hanging from a peg on the wall and were exposed to damaging and dusty conditions. Employees are exposed to potential respiratory hazards.
