29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). On or about: June 17, 2024 Location: 220 Garth Rd., Scarsdale, NY 10583. Residential roof above pizza restaurant a) One (1) worker observed wearing fall arrest harness without connecting to a lanyard while on a residential roof of a combination commercial and residential building approximately 25-30 feet in height. Worker exposed to fall hazard. b) One (1) anchor plate observed nailed parallel to the ridge of the roof instead of on the ridge of the roof as designed. Worker exposed to fall hazard due to inadequate fall protection. Serrano Contracting Inc. was previously cited for a repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1630103, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 8, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 84 Central Park Ave., Hartsdale, NY 10530.
