29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) 24 Ablemarle Drive, Lawrence Twp., NJ: Worker engaged in installing roof trusses and other related activities were exposed to fall hazards, up to and more than 10 feet to the ground surface below, when walking / working on roof trusses of a residential structure without the use of fall protection. Condition noted on or about 11/18/2024. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a) 24 Ablemarle Drive, Lawrence Twp., NJ: Worker was not utilizing fall protection and was exposed to fall hazards up to 15 - 25 feet to surfaces below when performing truss roof installation and other related activities while not utilizing fall protection at the worksite. The worker had not received fall protection training as specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). Condition noted on or about 10/24/24. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
