What happened
A Turner employee with his crew was assisting a client operated crane remove aluminum panels at [REDACTED] During a lift the employee saw a section of the panel catch on an I beam The employee reacted quickly and shoved the plate with both hands to free it from the obstruction The crane operator did not see that the panel was caught on the I beam and continued the lift When the employee freed the panel the tension of the rigging caused it to lift very suddenly The employee attempted to pull his hand out of the line of fire however the index finger of his left hand was caught between the panel and a flange overhead
