Pressing out drive shaft

Maintenance EEs were working to remove a drive shaft from a gear box. They had the gear box on the hydraulic press and were pressing the drive shaft out with a punch. After the parts were set up the EEs backed away from the machine and [REDACTED] began to engage the press while [REDACTED] watched. As [REDACTED] lowered the press the tapered end of the punch looks like it bent under the pressure and the parts came flying out of the press. One of the ejected parts struck [REDACTED] in the head face area. [REDACTED] had a laceration above their right eye and a bloody nose. [REDACTED] called first responders and EMS. [REDACTED] was taken to FCHC by EMS.
