Employee was following up on a reported issue in [REDACTED] N. He entered the house through the rear entrance.

When employee opened the door he attempted to guide it shut with his right hand so it would not slam. He had to use the edge of the door as it did not have a handle only a core. As he was doing so a strong gust of wind caused by the ventilation fans caught the door and jerked it away from him. When the door jerked away a portion of the door 's exterior edge that was bent back caught the pad of his right thumb and causing a laceration.
