Removing a grate from the in the kitchen

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED]. Security Supervisor [REDACTED] was dispatched to the medic’s office for an injured employee. Upon arrival [REDACTED] was being seen by Medic S. [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] stated he was removed the steel grates for cleaning when he accidentally touched it and burned his left thumb. [REDACTED] stated he did not realize the burners was still on and the grates were still hot. [REDACTED] checked injured area and applied burn cream to the area and bandages his thumb. [REDACTED] refused further medical treatment or to be transported to the hospital. [REDACTED] completed medical paperwork including an AIR Form Workman’s comp and voluntary statement. [REDACTED] signed a release form and returned to work. Photos of the injured employee and the accident scene have been secured and are attached to the report.
