Before the incident
On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] Lost Time Injury occurred in the outside Transportation Yard The Yard Dog Operator (DOH: 102118) exited the Yard Dog to inspect trailer [REDACTED] to ensure it was empty As he was walking to the back of the trailer his left forearm made contact with the trailers metal siding [REDACTED] the operator realized there was a 2 laceration on the forearm and immediately alerted the Unit Manager Axiom was contact and due to the nature of the injury the operator was transported to the local ED for treatment After assessing the wound they applied 10 stitches and the operator was given work restrictions and antibiotics Immediate investigation found there were 2 metal shards emerging from the metal siding on the trailer which is what caused the laceration The team lead cordoned off the area and red tagged the trailer out of service It was immediately brought to the CTS Maintenance shop for further inspection and repair no other damages were found The transportation team
