transferring boxes from a pallet to the trailer

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] an associate working in the Receiving Department reported an injury to their left hand specifically the pinky finger and knuckle after a box fell from a stacked trailer. The associate explained that they were loading the trailer at [REDACTED] transferring boxes from a pallet to the trailer. During this process one of the boxes that had been stacked too high and not properly secured fell. As the box began to fall the associate attempted to catch it and in doing so sustained the injury. They reported the incident to their supervisor 3 hours after the injury occurred and described their pain as a 6–7 out of 10.;The investigation confirmed that the incident occurred while the associate was working at [REDACTED] and loading the trailer in the Receiving Department. The associate acknowledged that the box had not been properly secured and that their attempt to catch it caused the injury.
