What happened

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] a finishing employee was removing two stock lengths (450001’s) totaling 54 lbs. from the paint line conveyor. Typically metal is removed from the paint line conveyor and placed on pallets in the outbound area located to the left of the conveyor. This time the employees were taking the stock lengths to the sanding table located approximately 15 yards south in the paint pre-treat area. After removing the first stock length from the conveyor the employee and his partner removed the second stock length and placed it inside of the first. Originally facing north the employee turned south while simultaneously rotating the extrusions from waist height over his head and onto his right shoulder. As the employee was lowering the extrusions onto his right shoulder he felt pain. The employee was seen by the company doctor who diagnosed the employee with a right shoulder strain. Lifting restrictions and over the counter ibuprofen were prescribed.
