On [REDACTED] employee completed 2 weld jobs in the north pipe rack proximal to railroad crossing of the Aromatics unit. The duration of the first weld job was approximately 1.5 hours with the second weld job duration being approximately 7 hours. He completed both weld jobs without incident or issue until [REDACTED] end of shift. During the night he experienced irritation in both eyes was evaluated at an emergency facility treated and release with instructions to follow up with an eye specialist. Employee was transported for further evaluation by an eye specialist and was diagnosed with mild corneal inflammation provided over the counter medication as treatment and released to return to work without restrictions.
